Roger Ashton-Griffiths is a well-known British character actor, with screen appearances ranging from PT Barnum in Gangs of New York to Mace Tyrell in Game of Thrones. He read Music at Lancaster University and began his career as a singer with English National Opera. He has an MA in Fine Art from the University of East London and more recently completed a PhD in Creative and Critical Writing, with a focus on Anglo-Indian literature, at the University of East Anglia. He has written short stories, plays and directed two short films. His novel The Case of Cat Adam is published by Sharpe Books.
