We receive many requests to reproduce extracts from works by our clients in new works written or edited by other authors.
No matter how short the excerpt, whether in a book, newspaper, journal or magazine, exam paper, theatre/concert programme, or website, it is vital to obtain proper permission for using any copyrighted material. This also applies to reading work aloud to an audience and setting it to music.

To speed up the process, please give us the full details of the material to be reproduced including a word count for prose material, or a line count for poetry, and the context in which it will appear as an extract. Please include as much information as possible, inlcuding details of the publication in which the material is to appear:

Please note that we receive a great many permission requests every month, and although all requests are dealt with as speedily as possible, it is vital to apply as far ahead of your deadline as you can.
