Edward Burman (1947-2020) was Visiting Professor at Xi’an Jaotong-Liverpool University in Suzhou, and Executive Director for China of Mediapolis Engineering Srl, in Turin. His most recent of twenty books were Terracotta Warriors: History, Mystery and the Latest Discoveries (W&N, 2018, Pegasus USA 2019, and BWHT China 2020);  and Sardinia: Island of Myth and Magic (Parke Tauris, 2019).  He spent the remainder of his life in Sardinia.
