Heather Davey has an MA in Writing (with distinction) from Bath Spa University and is an alumna of the Curtis Brown Creative Finish Your Novel course. She is a librarian and a judge for the Yoto Carnegie Medals in 2025 and 2026. She lives in Dorset with her husband and two children.

Heather has always been fascinated by ghost stories and was a key contributor in the recent BBC 2 series, Uncanny, with Danny Robins. Her debut novel, The Ghosts of Merry Hall, was published in September 2025.
