Pat Sharp is a radio and TV presenter who fronted his first daytime show for BBC Radio 1 at just twenty years old in 1982. Many Top of the Pops TV appearances later, he joined Capital FM, hosting his show for a decade. Along the way he picked up a gold Sony award, garnered seven hit singles and raised over £300,000 for charity as part of the infamous Stock Aitken Waterman duo, ‘Pat & Mick’. He then joined Heart London, taking his mid-morning slot to number one.

Pat enjoyed twelve years as host of the popular ITV show Funhouse and presented Sky’s pioneering pop video shows, Skytrax, shown across Europe in 40 million homes via satellite throughout the ‘80s. He’s also appeared on classic entertainment shows such as The Weakest Link, raising £13,000 for charity, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Celebrity Come Dine With Me, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Through The Keyhole, Eggheads, Who’s Doing The Dishes and enjoyed cameos in the movie Superman Requiem, the E4 sitcom Drifters and Paramount Comedy’s Staff Room. In recent years, Pat has played to crowds across the world at DJ sets in Mallorca, Ibiza, France, Austria, Norway, Spain, Oman and Dubai.

After almost four decades at the centre of Britain’s pop culture scene, Pat combined his memories with a sprinkling of fiction to write his biography, Re-run the Fun: My Life as Pat Sharp. Revealing all about his adventures with David Hassselhoff at the Berlin Wall in 1989, how he broke up a fight between Damon Albarn and Liam Gallagher at a house party, the time he suggested Geri’s dress be a Union Jack, and plenty more, Pat’s unique perspective anatomises the cultural trends of the ’80s and ’90s – with some surprises along the way!
