Audrey Ward has worked as an editor and writer at The Sunday Times for the past fifteen years and is currently Head of Book Serialisations. She is a qualified solicitor and mediator, and a trustee of Surrogacy UK.

Inspired by her own struggles to conceive, she is writing a book called The Waiting Room, which will bring together real-life stories of women and men dealing with fertility challenges. It will be published by HarperCollins in 2026. As an interviewer, Audrey has spoken about the difficulties of making a baby with the likes of Oscar-winning screenwriter, Dustin Lance Black, and Conde Nast’s first Black publisher, Vanessa Kingori. Her interview with Queen Elizabeth’s grand-daughter Zara Tindall, during which Zara revealed that she had lost two babies following the birth of her eldest daughter, saw her become the first member of the royal family to speak publicly about miscarriage. The interview made headlines around the world.

Audrey was born in Ireland and studied at Trinity College, Dublin and now lives in London.
